Manolya opened its doors in November 2009, bringing Turkish cuisine to Ware and the surrounding towns. It proved an instant hit and the 54-seater restaurant has enjoyed a thriving first three years. It’s owned and run by Eddie and his family whose aim was to introduce diners to traditional Turkish cuisine and hospitality, things they are excelling at!

The menu is a varied one which has been expanded considerably in the past 12 months. There are good choices of cold and hot starters including classic dolma (stuffed vine leaves with rice, onion, pepper, pine nuts and herbs); Hellim (grilled haloumi cheese) and Minced Lamb Kofte. The main course menu is divided into a number of sections – Kebabs, Manolya House Specials; Fish Dishes and Vegetarian Dishes. Each provides a good selection of classics and some more unusual options.

There are also a number of reasonably priced set menus including a vegetarian one. Inside and out Manolya has an upmarket feel but the prices are very reasonable. Starters range from just £3.70 to £5.95 for individual portions, mains start at just £9.25 and go up to £15.25 for more expensive items such as Manolya’s FullKebab. These prices make Manolya the ideal place to eat whether you’re looking for a quick meal on your way home, are out with a large group of friends or celebrating something more special. The restaurant is fully licensed, air-conditioned and can cater for private functions too.
